ZZ2 Date, Naartjie and Cinnamon Smoothie

Ingredients

4 frozen bananas

8 ZZ2 Kara Medjool dates

½ tsp Cinnamon

½ cup Naartjie juice

1/2 cup Milk of choice

¼ tsp Turmeric

1 Tbsp Protein powder

Directions

  • If you would like to make this recipe quickly then add 2 dates (pitted) and all the rest of the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and enjoy.

If you would like to make fancy layered smoothies to impress then follow these instructions:

Step 1 – Blend 2 bananas, the naartjie juice and the turmeric together until smooth. Place your glasses at and angle and carefully pour the smoothie into the glasses corner then place in the freezer to freeze at an angle. 

Step 2 - Take the pits out of the dates and place 6 in a pot with ¼ cup water and bring to the boil. Take off the heat once the water has all absorbed into the dates and set aside to cool, then blend until smooth.

Step 3 - Place the rest of the ingredients into the blender and blend until smooth. 

Step 4 - Take the frozen smoothie glasses out of the freezer, Spoon on the date mixture, then pour in the rest of the smoothie.
