ZZ2’s academic internships consist of short projects that students complete under the guidance of professional mentors. ZZ2 offers ten internships a year. The projects fall within the framework of farming operations namely production, packaging and marketing. Promising students are recruited or offered a permanent position to become involved in another of ZZ2’s research projects.
ZZ2 has formed an “ecosystem” with companies across the farming supply chain. In this way we can grow together with selected businesses sharing our philosophy and values, without losing focus of our core business, the production of fresh produce.

By concentrating on the healthy relationships of an open system, ZZ2 has been able to become a home for all its people. This means that we take care of all our stakeholders through our open system philosophy, rather than focusing on ourselves.
We regularly offer practical farming and engineering advice to emerging farmers. ZZ2 also offers mentorship and study groups various aspects within the farming value chain.
The creation of local (regional) fresh produce markets that enable the greater community through the offering of fresh produce at reasonable prices, have stimulated entrepreneurship for village traders and independent local farmers.
We work unabated towards the goal to create communities that are independent and are able to help themselves through many smaller opportunities and projects that we enable and/or facilitate.
